A fully integrated receiver MMIC manufactured in a 200 GHz SiGe:C production technology is presented. To simplify the application, the fully differential design is based on a homodyne approach. It comprises polyphase filters, passive power splitters, a Gilbert-based complex downconversion mixer, a three-stage low noise amplifier offering two gain steps, and a three-stage programmable gain baseband amplifier as well as AC-coupling stages. The total measured downconversion gain is more than 70 dB and the maximum linear output power is -1 dBm. The receiver draws a current of 86 mA from a single 3.3 V supply. The MMIC permits operation in the 57 to 64 GHz band.
