Abstract magnified image Copper triflate has been found to be an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of benzimidazoles from o ‐phenylenediamine and aldehydes at reflux temperature under acetonitrile solvent. This new method consistently has the advantage of excellent yields (74–95%) at reflux temperature. J. Heterocyclic Chem., 2010.
