Enhanced Myocardial Angiogenesis by Gene Transfer With Transplanted Cells

Abstract

Transplantation of heart cells transfected with VEGF induced greater angiogenesis than transplantation of unmodified cells. Combined gene transfer and cell transplantation strategies may improve postinfarction LV perfusion and function.
