Early symptomatic recurrence after intestinal resection in Crohn's disease is unpredictable

Abstract

This study shows that early symptomatic postoperative recurrence of CD remains unpredictable. Against expectation, abstinence from smoking and postoperative adjuvant metronidazole did not appear to protect against early symptomatic recurrence.
