Abstract BF 3 . OEt 2 ‐catalyzed reaction of cyclic thioureas ( 1 ) with 2‐benzylidenecycloalkanones ( 2 ) afforded tricyclic 1,3‐thiazines ( 3, 4 ). The progress of the reactions was found to depend on the ring size of both 1 and 2 .
