Abstract

A structurally tunable 3D surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate based on vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (CNTs) sputter-coated with a gold film is described. This substrate shows highly sensitive SERS signals at very low target concentrations of 4-mercaptophenol (4-MPH), down to 10 fM.
