We directly calculate the history of variations in Earth's precession constant H that are forced by variations in surface mass associated with late Pleistocene ice‐age glaciation and deglaciation events. Our analyses show that the magnitude of Δ H/H 0 is lower than that required to cause the recently hypothesized resonant reduction of the precession period.
