Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen: Effect on Muscle Inflammation after Eccentric Exercise

Abstract

Maximal over-the-counter doses of ibuprofen or acetaminophen, when administered therapeutically, do not affect muscle concentrations of neutrophils or macrophages 24 h after a novel bout of eccentric contractions.
