Abstract

Glycosyl transferases provide rapid access to defined oligovalent sialyl Lewisx structures (SLex) attached to a peptide backbone such as compound 1. MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry proved to be an elegant, reliable method for monitoring the individual glycosylation steps.
