Angiogenesis in pterygium: Morphometric and immunohistochemical study

Abstract

Over-expression of VEGF in pterygium tissue, together with the abundance of vWF-stained new vessels, may support previous suggestions that angiogenesis may play a role in the formation of pterygium.
