<i>Histoplasma farciminosum</i>, the aetiological agent of equine cryptococcal pneumonia

Abstract

Two cases of cryptococcal pneumonia in horses are described. Histoplasma farciminosum was isolated from both cases. The diagnosis was based on histopathological changes in the lungs and culture of the fungus.
