Abstract

Malacoplakia is an unusual inflammatory disease which was originally described in the bladder (Michaelis and Gutmann, 1902; von Hansemann, 1903) and has subsequently been found in other genito-urinary sites (Scott and Scott, 1958; Smith, 1965), and elsewhere in the body (Yunis et al., 1967). This case report describes the ultrasound and radiological findings in a case of malacoplakia of the kidneys.
