Abstract

Since gentamicin-loaded PTMC discs show antibiotic release characteristics and biofilm inhibition characteristics similar to those of gentamicin-loaded PMMA beads, PTMC appears to be a promising biodegradable carrier in the local treatment of osteomyelitis.
