Bounding the tau neutrino magnetic moment at CERN LEP in a left-right symmetric model

Abstract

We consider a massive neutrino and discuss the possibility of bounding its magnetic moment in the reaction ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}\ensuremath{\gamma},$ in the context of a left-right symmetric model at CERN LEP energies. We find that the bound is almost independent of the allowed values of the mixing angle \ensuremath{\varphi} of the model.
