Abstract Radically polymerized PVC obtained in bulk was fractionated and examined by high resolution NMR using spectrum accumulation. The main unsaturation found consists of 1‐chloro‐2‐pentene structures, and the saturated chain end should be a 1,2‐dichloroethyl group. Owing to the semi‐quantitative determinations, there are, independently of molecular weight, two or three double bonds per 1000 monomer units, while the number of branches was found to increase with increasing molecular weight.
