This paper presents two types of frequency-domain acoustic-velocity formulations for the rotating thickness and loading sources. The acoustic-velocity components of the noise radiated from the rotating monopole and dipole point sources are computed with the two types of frequency-domain formulations and the time-domain acoustic-velocity formulation V1A of Ghorbaniasl et al. ( “ Acoustic Velocity Formulation for Sources in Arbitrary Motion ,” AIAA Journal , Vol. 51 , No. 3 , 2013 , pp. 632 – 642 ), respectively. The computational results have a good agreement between each other. Moreover, the Isom noise consistency test for a rotor is also carried out to validate the proposed frequency-domain acoustic-velocity formulations.
