Lung function impairment, COPD hospitalisations and subsequent mortality

Abstract

COPD severity was associated with a higher rate of severe exacerbations requiring hospitalisation, although severe exacerbations at any stage were associated with a higher risk of short-term and long-term all-cause mortality.
