WBC content of platelet concentrates prepared by the buffy coat method using different processing procedures and storage solutions

Abstract

Careful centrifugation of pooled BCs, with plasma or PAS-2, can result in PCs with low WBC contamination levels. However, filtered PCs are superior, because of better WBC removal and higher platelet counts.
