Abstract

Attempts have been made to apply ultrasono-cardiotomography to patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases. Ultrasono-cardiotomography enables a clear cross-section picture of the heart and great vessels in patients with various heart diseases as well as in normal subjects. Abnormalities in anatomical structure such as hypertrophy of the myocardium, enlargement of the cardiac chambers, and septal defect at atrial or ventricular levels can also be seen.
