Values for diffusion coefficients, ranging from 0.05 to 4.8×10 ‐10 cm. 2 /sec., have been determined at 80°c, for disperse dyes in cellulose acetate film. The results indicate that the rate of dyeing of disperse dyes is mainly governed by the rate of diffusion in the fibre.
