Abstract

Abstract An experimental method is described for measuring the permeability of small tubular (hollow fiber) membranes by means of an unsteady state diffusion experiment. Permeability data obtained by this method are reported for experimental collagen and commercial cellulose acetate membranes for urea, sucrose, and polyethylene glycol (MW ∼ 4 000).
