We present three working patterns of a gliding-arc-in-tornado reactor by recording arc voltages and plasma images, which are strongly dependent on the gas flow configuration in the reactor. A stable and large plasma space can be generated when the tangential gas flow is at 12 L/min and the axial gas flow is at 2 L/min.
