Abstract

Abstract Dialkylaminosilanes react at room temperature with carbon dioxide and with carbon disulphide to give silyl dialkylcarbamates and silyl dialkyldithiocarbamates, respectively. These reactions proceed by an ionic chain mechanism, which requires the presence of catalytic amounts of free amine.
