Abstract

Any impact of "anxiety" on post-ACS outcome appears to be influenced by the clinical sub-type. The seemingly paradoxical finding that GAD might improve outcome may reflect "apprehensive worrying" being constructive, by improving self-management of the individual's cardiac problems.
