Abstract

A simple Schiff base chemosensor 2-((2-(2,4-dinitro phenyl)hydrazono)methyl)-4-nitrophenol (<bold>L</bold>) has been developed as a colorimetric and fluorimetric ‘<italic>turn on</italic>’ sensor for fluoride (F<sup>−</sup>).
