Measurements of CFCl 3 , CF 2 Cl 2 , CH 3 CCl 3 CCl 4 and N 2 O at Palmer Station, Antarctica (64°46′S, 64°04′W) from February 4, 1982 to November 30, 1985 are reported. For the week beginning January 1, 1984, the averages of the hourly measurements were 199.6 ppt for CFCl 3 , 329.0 ppt for CF 2 Cl 2 , 124.2 ppt for CH 3 CCl 3 , 150.2 ppt for CCl 4 , and 301.3 ppb for N 2 O. The mixing ratios increased at an annual rate of 5.87% y −1 for CFCl 3 , 5.45% y −1 for CF 2 Cl 2 , 5.31% y −1 for CH 3 CCl 3 , 1.29% y −1 for CCl 4 , and 0.24% y −1 for N 2 O.
