Binding of thymidine 3′,5′-diphosphate to ribonuclease was studied by spectroscopic, kinetic and crystallographic methods. The results show that the 5′-phosphate group is located close to the p0 site in the active site proposed earlier (Mitsui, Y., Urata, Y., Toni, K., & Irie, M. (1978) Biochim. Biophys. Acta 535, 299–308) for stabilizing the complex.
