Abstract

The book ‘Thermally and Optically Stimulated Luminescence: A Simulation Approach’ by R. Chen and V. Pagonis is a review of the status of theoretical models and simulation processes relevant to thermoluminescence (TL) and optically stimulated luminescence (OSL). Obviously, for the topic of the book, there could not have been a better choice of authors than that of the present one in view of their long experience and expertise in the field. The book starts with a ‘Preface’ and has 15 chapters, an Appendix and a list of 14 review papers (of authors’ choice) and 23 books on TL and OSL (showing five books in the last 8 years) other than the list of references, author index and subject index. Frequent publication of books mainly reviewing a large number of research papers published in a variety of journals indicates continued growth of TL and OSL. Emergence of this book along with...
