Abstract

Abstract Reaction of (NPCl 2 ) 3 ( 1 ) with the monosodium salt of uracil in the presence of Bu 4 NBr as phase‐transfer catalyst gives apart from an uracil phosphazene derivative (N 3 P 3 Cl 5 ) 2 C 4 N 2 H 2 O 2 (2) appreciable amounts of two hydrolysis products, viz . [N 3 P 3 Cl 5 O] [Bu 4 N] (3) and an oxygen‐bridged dimer (N 3 P 3 Cl 5 ) 2 O (4). 31 P NMR data are given as well as the X‐ray structure of 4.
