The science and technique of reinforcing Portland cement concrete by incorporating fibers is now well established through research and practice. However, studies on steel fiber reinforced concrete elements have been devoted primarily to observations under unit actions. The present report gives the results of thirty plain and fiber reinforced concrete beams, the majority of which are tested under combined actions of moment and shear. The principal variables are the concrete mix proportion, fiber volume fraction and shear span.
