Improvement of sensitivity in optical samplingsystem

Abstract

The eye diagram of a high bit rate, low-power optical signal has been successfully measured using a periodically poled lithium niobate crystal. The system has a signal-to-noise ratio of 20 dB at a signal peak power of 0.3 mW.
