Increased levels of nerve growth factor in the airways of patients with sarcoidosis

Abstract

We demonstrate that secreted levels of NGF are markedly enhanced in the airways in active pulmonary sarcoidosis. Furthermore, a relationship between NGF and pulmonary inflammation in sarcoidosis is supported.
