Abstract

Desflurane-based anesthesia yields hemodynamics during CPB with DHCA that are similar to those with fentanyl-based anesthesia. However, desflurane-based anesthesia improves neurologic and histologic outcomes of CPB-DHCA in comparison with outcomes with fentanyl-based anesthesia.
