Ropivacaine With or Without Clonidine Improves Pediatric Tonsillectomy Pain

Abstract

Preincisional injection of ropivacaine with clonidine prior to tonsillectomy has a preemptive analgesic effect that outlasts the local anesthetic and decreases pain, opioid use, and the time to return to normal activity.
