Occupational burnout as a predictor of disability pension: a population-based cohort study

Abstract

Burnout predicts permanent work disability and could therefore be used as a risk marker of chronic health-related work stress. To prevent early exit from work life, working conditions and employee burnout should be regularly assessed with the help of occupational health services.
