A method for evaluating the photoprotective action of sunscreens against UV‐A radiation

Abstract

Synopsis The present methods of assessing the photoprotective action of sunscreens against UV‐A radiation have been reviewed. A more rapid and precise method using anthracene and the hairless mouse has been developed. The method is specific for UV‐A radiation.
