Abstract

The presence of harmonics in both six-pulse and twelve-pulse converter systems is analyzed emphasising the differences between three-phase and six-phase machines in suppressing these harmonics. The effect of the use of harmonic filters and special transformer-winding arrangements in reducing harmonics is also discussed. Harmonics measurements for two actual installations are presented and analyzed.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
