Sodium Bicarbonate is Associated with an Increased Incidence of Contrast Nephropathy

Abstract

The use of intravenous sodium bicarbonate was associated with increased incidence of contrast nephropathy. Use of sodium bicarbonate to prevent contrast nephropathy should be evaluated further rather than adopted into clinical practice.
