Abstract Homogeneous and hetrogeneous crosslinked copolymers of 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate and ethylene dimethacrylate were prepared by a suspension copolymerization in oil and water dispersion medium, respectively. The copolymers obtained were tested for their hydrolytic and thermal stability and found to be good gel chromatography packings with a broad range of applications.
