Abstract

Similarity in the metabolism of chlorzoxazone between Mexicans and European Americans suggests that the risk associated with CYP2E1-mediated activation of procarcinogens is not different between these two populations. Likewise, the absence of any difference in the disposition of midazolam indicates that, from a pharmacokinetic standpoint, dosages of drugs metabolized by CYP3A need not be different between Mexicans and European Americans.
