This paper treats 225 species of Buprestidae in the genera Agrilus, Brachys, Callimicra, Cyphothorax, Dismorpha, Hylaeogena, Leiopleura, Lius, Omochyseus, Pachyschelus, Paragrilus, Taphrocerus and Trypantius. New country records are recorded for Mexico and all Central American countries. Agrilus vandenberghei Westcott and Hespenheide, new species, from Central America and Mexico, and the male of Agrilus eyai Westcott and Noguera are described and figured. Rational is provided for changing Agrilus aurilatera Waterhouse to A. aurilaterus; A. catherinae Chevrolat is shown to be a justified emendation of A. catharinae; A. complexus (Waterhouse) is a new combination; and A. consobrinus Dugès is synonymized with A. correctus Thompson.
