Abstract

A brother and sister had arteriovenous malformations of the brain. Improved diagnostic techniques may reveal that the familial incidence of these malformations is higher than previously suspected. Findings of affected but asymptomatic individuals among a patient's relatives may provide the opportunity for surgical therapy.
