A simplified method of preparing solutions of glycerol and water for use in humidity control is described. The advantages of glycerol-water solutions over other solutions commonly used for humidity control in corrosion studies is discussed. Solutions of glycerol and water were prepared in various concentrations and their specific gravities determined. The percent relative humidity over each solution was measured and plotted against specific gravity of the solution. The resulting smooth curve can be used in preparing humidity control solutions accurate to within one unit of percent relative humidity. 2.3.1
