Extended donor lungs: eleven years experience in a consecutive series☆

Abstract

Our results suggest that the use of selected extended donor lungs does not compromise the outcome after transplantation. PaO(2) <250mmHg before harvesting of the lungs is not an absolute contra-indication for transplantation.
