Abstract This paper describes several reactions involving either phthalimide or some of its N-(bromoalkyl) or N-(hydroxyalkyl) derivatives towards phosphorylated compounds. Though sometimes unexpected, these reactions can lead especially to diethylphosphono-substituted polyheterocycles or vinyles.
