Abstract

Intracerebral calcification was found in a young child with systemic lupus erythematosus. Vascular lesions characteristic of SLE were widespread and associated with systemic infarcts and multiple infarcts of the brain and spinal cord. The cerebral calcification was also related to blood vessels, but confined to certain regions of the brain.
