Abstract

parable patients with perforated duodenal ulcers were followed up after two to twelve years. Ten patients could not be traced. Eight (11 %) of the " gastric " patients, but none of the " duodenal " patients, are known to have died of carcinoma of the stomach. Seven (5%) of all the patients died of peptic ulcer.
