Blunt Renal Injuries in Children Can Be Managed Nonoperatively: Outcome in a Consecutive Series of Patients

Abstract

A nonoperative management strategy was advantageous and successful in pediatric blunt renal injuries (94.7% successful nonoperative rate, 98.9% renal salvage rate). Adjunctive urologic procedures (e.g., ureteral stenting) were beneficial in selected cases.
