Abstract

Local products, made by conventional procedures and with traditional flavouring, are increasingly preferred by consumers. Due to their nutritional-physiological advantages and peculiarity these products could achieve significant competition advantage for the national food trade. The aim of our study is to explore how local food product manufacturers are embraced and promoted in the trading policy of one of the largest Hungarian food retailer chains.
