Impairment in quality of life, social interactions, and self-assessment of appearance closely reflected the nature of the morbidity associated with palpebral fissure asymmetry associated with aberrant facial nerve regeneration. The physicians' grading scale best reflected subjective morbidity over direct videotaped measurements.
